A Culture Built on Safety

A Safe Workplace Is a Shared Commitment

At Chimax Inc., safety is a fundamental responsibility embedded in everything we do. It is not treated as an afterthought, but as a core part of our daily operations—both in office environments and on project sites. We are committed to proactively identifying risks, controlling hazards, and ensuring that safe practices are consistently followed.

Our objective is clear: every individual goes home safely at the end of each day.

With over 35 years of experience, Chimax has developed a safety culture built on accountability, awareness, and continuous improvement. We operate in full compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act, supported by structured internal processes that promote transparency and responsibility at every level.

Employee Involvement & Responsibility

Our safety culture is driven by active employee participation. We encourage our team members to take ownership of safety—not only for themselves but for their colleagues. Through regular training, including CPR and First Aid certification, and ongoing communication, employees are equipped to recognize hazards, make informed decisions, and contribute to a safer workplace.

Our Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) plays a key role in this process, conducting regular inspections and providing a platform for continuous feedback and improvement. This collaborative approach strengthens engagement, reinforces accountability, and helps maintain a safe and respectful working environment.
